Poetry by Edward ian Armchair

Worship Me!

Worship me, worship me,
I am the God of luxury.
Extravagance and decadence,
Shower me in your money.

Worship me, worship me,
I am the God of obesity.
Gluttony and slovenly,
Drizzle me in your honey.

Worship me, worship me,
I am the God of indignity.
Narcissists and fantasists,
Shower me with obscenity.

Despise me, despise me,
I am the God of reality.
Poverty and necessity,
Shackle me with bankruptcy.

Worship me.

Edward says...

A sad reflection of modern society and people's obsession with such things as luxury, money, gluttony and self. In addition, their denial of the reality of their existence, namely, bankruptcy, poverty and necessity. Edward
